Company's Brand Ambassador Jr NTR and Malabar Group Executive Director D Asher presented a commitment of educational scholarship under its 'Empowering education, empowering womanhood' initiative to the people of Andhra Pradesh here today.
Malabar Gold and Diamonds , one of the leading jewellery group, has announced a corporate initiative to support education for 5000 girl students in Andhra Pradesh this academic year.
The commitment aims at supporing education of girl students in Andhra Pradesh which is a social issue and under the programme would provide educational scholarship of Rs 2,000 each for higher secondary girl students in government schools across Andhra Pradesh, Mr Asher said on the occasion. The scholarships would be prodvided based on the merit and performances in the qualifying examinations, he said family income and other social conditions will also be examined as part of the eligibility criteria. We are also planning to take up another program shortly of gold medals for school teachers and institutional leaders under CSR activity activity for promotion of excellence in school education in India in tie up with the IIM (Indian Institute of Managment), Kozhikonde, he informed.
